The new Balón Edge Projection Screen has been introduced by Stewart Filmscreen, the latest addition to the Balón series combining the company’s best projection screen surface with an ultra-thin frame to provide a minimalist black border finish.
Used as both a residential and pro AV projection screen, the Balón Edge is ideal when two-piece projection is needed. It can be custom-fabricated in any size up to 16ft in image width and in any aspect ratio, similar to the original Balón Borderless.
The 0.4-in border on the Balón Edge can be either wrapped in Velux light-deadening material for overscan light absorption or kept minimalist as a bare-metal painted frame. Both the Balón Borderless and Balón Edge have a one-in frame depth, keeping the screen close to the wall.
As with all Stewart Filmscreen products, the Balón series offers unlimited fabric options. All 16K+ flexible front projection screen fabrics are available for Balón Edge along with MicroPerf X2 THX Ultra and CinemaPerf screen perforation for sound transparency. LED lighting is also available as an option.
The MSRP of Balón Edge is $2,913. The screen comes with the EZ Mount mounting brackets, hardware and all instructions needed to assemble the screen.
