WiiM announces plans to launch first ever soundbar at High End Vienna

WiiM has announced plans to launch its first ever soundbar at this year’s High End Vienna.

Debuting at the premium audio and hi-fi show running from June 4-7, the WiiM Bar features a touch display and 3.0.2 Dolby Atmos configuration powered by a custom eight-driver array.

Designed to “grow with spaces”, it functions both as a standalone soundbar and centrepiece of a 5.1.2 home theatre system when paired with compatible surrounds and subwoofer.

It supports HDMI eARC and audio formats including LPCM, Dolby Atmos/TrueHD/DD+, AC3, DTS and DTS:X.

Dr. Lifeng Zhao, CEO of WiiM, said: “The WiiM Bar is a natural next step for our ecosystem, bringing the same simplicity and high-fidelity performance our community loves into the living room.”

With top-firing height channels and RoomFit auto-correction, the soundbar aims to place users in the centre of action as it tailors listening experiences to various environments.

It enables multi-room grouping, advanced EQ and access to over 20 streaming services within the WiiM ecosystem - all controllable from the Home app or soundbar display.

Additionally, Clear Voice Mode uses AI-powered dialogue enhancement to separate speech from background audio while Night Mode softens loud effects.

WiiM says users can expect ongoing firmware updates to the soundbar, guided by feedback from its community.
