Zuma has launched its new Zuma Lumisonic Pro for John Cullen Downlight, thanks to a new partnership with luxury lighting design house, John Cullen Lighting.
The Zuma Lumisonic Pro for John Cullen Downlight combines Zuma’s speaker-embedded light solution with the lifestyle-focused, architectural elegance of John Cullen’s preeminent lighting expertise to create a unique audio and illumination product.
Installers can now furnish homes with premium multiroom light and sound control that is almost completely invisible to the naked eye.
The high-performance multiroom audio and lighting system is incorporated into an ultra-compact, completely recessed downlight. A ceiling-flush design allows the unit to be unobtrusive, only revealing a discreet pinhole baffle with all other components hidden out of sight.
The collaboration with John Cullen’s design team ensures the downlight can be plastered-in flush, allowing the sound and lighting unit to blend seamlessly into the aesthetic of the ceiling. A release system ensures that the plaster is not damaged in any way if the Zuma needs to be removed.
It features a full-flush adjustable fitting, a honeycomb louvre to provide glare protection, and a pinhole aperture for mastering tight beams. This allows the speaker light to employ a reduced beam angle of 38 degrees, down from the standard 50 degrees. Its IP65 rating allows it to be installed in bathrooms and kitchen too.
The Zuma Lumisonic for John Cullen Downlight can be installed into a multi-unit array. The hi-fi loudspeakers fill each room with audio, offering playback from streaming services, radio, audiobooks and more, while the premium LED light bathes the room in natural lighting with a CRI of 90+ and offers intuitive adjustments like colour temperature tuning and circadian light rhythms.
Wellbeing presets are also available, combining light and sound in unique soundscapes that energise the body or relaxes the mind. All features are controlled wirelessly from the Zuma app or via Alexa voice control. Zuma can also be employed alongside system control from Rako.
