DALI unveils SONIK speakers, a premium range ‘for everyone’

DALI has unveiled a new loudspeaker series, described as its most important launch since the OBERON range.

Targeting both music and home cinema enthusiasts, SONIK progresses the company’s high-performance sound at attainable price points.

The seven-strong SONIK lineup is said to represent an evolution of DALI’s philosophy, just as OBERON sought to change expectations in 2018.

Krestian Pedersen, company head of product management, said: “DALI makes loudspeakers for everyone, from KUPID to KORE and everything in-between, covering hi-fi, home cinema, wireless speakers and headphones.

“Our sound and design principles have always been most visible at the price point that SONIK hits, and we believe the range sets a new benchmark in performance for the price.”

The range spans compact stereo systems through to full-scale home cinema.

Models include standmount speakers SONIK 1 and SONIK 3; floorstanders SONIK 5, SONIK 7 and flagship SONIK 9; plus dedicated ON-WALL and CINEMA designs.

The flagship SONIK 9 combines a hybrid tweeter system with three 7-inch bass drivers for what DALI describes as “breathtaking scale”.

SONIK also draws on technologies from DALI’s KORE, EPIKORE and EPICON ranges, including improved transducers, SMC Essential magnet systems and refined cabinet engineering.

Design incorporates clean aesthetics, custom magnetic grilles, aluminium tweeter faceplates, new in-house terminals and detailing inspired by EPIKORE.

CNC-machined MDF cabinets with rigid bracing and separate bass chambers aim to reduce resonance and improve timing.

The range is available in Black Ash, Walnut, Natural Oak and White, with a global rollout planned in 2026.
