Fyne Audio has introduced its most affordable IsoFlare floorstander to date, supplementing the F500E loudspeaker range.
The new F55E, a compact floorstander, features a 5-inch IsoFlare driver and downward-firing port system with BassTrax Tractrix diffuser, supported by 360-degree LF output for room integration.
Anji Sosna, managing director of Fyne Audio, said: “The F55E is all about balance.
“It delivers the refinement, delicacy and imaging precision of a small stand-mount speaker, but with the body, bass weight and scale of a floorstander.
“It does without taking up any more space than a stand-mount and stand.”
The F55E’s discreet footprint is suited to small and medium-sized rooms, its cabinet constructed from high-density MDF with internal bracing and acoustic damping.
The unit’s IsoFlare driver is coupled to the brand’s FyneFlute surround, terminating cone energy and suppressing resonances. The titanium HF diaphragm, powered by a neodymium magnet motor, is paired with a carefully shaped waveguide to optimise dispersion into the room.
Together, these refinements ensure the F55E delivers the transient response of a precision studio monitor along with a sense of musical depth and scale.
Complementing the IsoFlare driver, the BassTrax Tractrix diffuser system transforms the energy from the floor-firing port into a smooth 360-degree wavefront. This patented design uses a conical diffuser shaped to a geometric Tractrix profile to expand the bass energy evenly in all directions. The result is deep bass that integrates with the room and remains less sensitive to positioning.
