Karma-AV adds to home entertainment line with new JVC projector

Karma-AV has introduced the JVC LX-NZ30 4K/HDR projector to its UK dealers as part of its home entertainment offering.

Supporting gaming at up to 1080p/240Hz and high brightness for use day and night, the LX-NZ30 displays detailed 4K resolution using over 8 million addressable pixels from a 0.47” DMD and four-way e-shift.

A new BLU-Escent light source is used, delivering 3,300 lumens over 20,000 hours lifespan for vibrant and detailed bright room HDR home theatre and gaming. The new 105W Blue Laser diode assembly replaces the previous 95W design, making it possible to achieve the higher brightness of 3,300 lumens, 10% up on the model’s predecessor (LX-NZ3), while increasing the peak brightness during HDR projection.

As well as HDR10, the projector supports HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), switching automatically to the best quality mode. Its laser light source controls the light output instantaneously, providing dynamic brightness adjustment with less delay compared to a conventional mechanical aperture. By controlling the output of the laser according to the brightness of the scene, black levels are improved, and the projector can reproduce images closer to human visual perception.

Ideal for gaming, the Lx-NZ30 supports up to 1080p/240Hz input with low latency of 6.25ms.

For easy set up, the projector has a lens shift of ± 60% vertical, ± 23% horizontal, and 1.6x zoom to enable flexible projection range of approximately 299 ~ 478cm using a 100” screen. Further adjustments can be made via horizontal/vertical/tilt keystone correction and corner adjustment.

Connection options include dual HDMI inputs (HDCP 2.2), DisplayPort 1.2a for direct connection from a suitably equipped PC, USB Direct Connect, RS232C and LAN control/12V trigger ports.

Available from April, the JVC LX-NZ30 is available in black or white and priced at £3,799.
