Rotel announces Diamond Series to celebrate 60th anniversary

Celebrating the brand’s 60th anniversary, Rotel has unveiled the two model Diamond Series, featuring the DT-6000 DAC Transport and RA-6000 Integrated Amplifier.

The new series has been specially created to honour the heritage, legacy and passion of the Rotel Audio brand and its founder Mr. Tomoki Tachikawa and his family who direct and manage the company.

Made up of two products, they both share a new industrial design language emphasizing modern engineering, contemporary styling that both compliments Rotel’s current offerings while paying tribute to the brand’s iconic heritage through generations of legacy models.

Using a combination of Michi inspired circuit design and high-quality bespoke and custom components, the Diamond Series offers a high, audiophile standard audio performance, placing the new products at the pinnacle of the current Rotel range.

The DT-6000 DAC Transport is a source component ideal for audiophiles and music lovers alike. The focal point of the DT-6000 is the 8-channel ESS Sabre ES9028PRO Digital to Analogue converter configured to dedicate four Mono DACs each to the left and right channels. Redundant signal processing of the digital data streams extracts nuances of audio with exacting clarity and detail with an exceptionally low noise floor.

The unit includes a PC-USB input supporting MQA and DSD audio playback and renders PCM 32-bit/384kHz music files through the coaxial and optical inputs supporting music streamers and media players and even includes a tray loading CD mechanism providing playback flexibility.

The RA-6000 Integrated Amplifier delivers 350 watts of output power into 4-ohm speaker loads leveraging technical and performance designs from the brand’s flagship Michi series models, especially with regards to circuit designs, acoustic component selection and power supply engineering methods, while also further developing the upgrades found in Rotel’s recent MKII models.

An array of source inputs ensures connection to modern and legacy audio sources including coaxial (3), optical (3), analogue (3), PC-USB supporting MQA, Bluetooth with aptX HD for high-performance wireless streaming, XLR Balanced, iOS USB for Apple devices and a Moving Magnet Phono stage for vinyl enthusiasts.

The Diamond Series RA-6000 and DT-6000 are now available in black and silver finishes, priced at £3,999 / €4,499 / $4,499 and £1,999 / €2,299 / $2,299 respectively.
