AI and sustainability on agenda at IFA Berlin's 101st show

IFA Berlin has presented its lineup of international speakers for keynotes and panels ahead of its 101st show.

The trade fair in Germany will take place on September 5-9 to showcase home and consumer tech on a global level.

From September 6, the Innovation Stage, Dream Stage and Creator Stage will become venues for discussing the four main topics: Future of Intelligence, Future of Smart Society, Future of Connectivity and Future of Sustainability.

Leif Lindner, CEO of IFA Management GmbH, said: “Precisely because topics such as artificial intelligence, digitalisation and sustainability are developing so rapidly, we need platforms like IFA where innovations can be further developed.

“Tech is diverse and this is reflected in our programme: with top speakers from around the world and a strong focus on socially relevant issues.”

The exclusive keynotes include Serving the Consumer by Preserving the Planet by Yannick Fierling, president and CEO of Electrolux Group, and From “future dreams” to “the new normal”: How AI and smart home appliances are changing our homes  by Dr. Markus Miele, managing partner of Miele & Cie. KG.

Fierling will discuss how sustainable innovation, circular business models and a focus on consumers are key industry drivers – deliverable through resource-efficient manufacturing, responsible end-of-life management and cross-industry collaboration.

Further insights will come from Bastian Raschke, group director DACH at Meta, on topics such as e-commerce and DTC.
