HiddenWires can exclusively announce that the 2018 edition of the CEDIA Awards will be hosted at the British Museum in London on Thursday 27 September, 2018.
Returning for what is set to be another unforgettable year, CEDIA EMEA is pleased to announce that the 2018 CEDIA Awards programme will take place at the esteemed British landmark following on from a highly successful awards at the Warner Brother Studios (‘The Making of Harry Potter’) last year.
“The CEDIA Awards is always a night to remember,” Matt Nimmons, managing Director of CEDIA EMEA, told HiddenWires.
“We’re excited to welcome our members to enjoy a fantastic evening amongst the most treasured artefacts from across the globe. The British Museum offers the perfect environment to toast technical excellence and product innovation, where the splendour of our members’ projects will no doubt rival the museum display.”

The black-tie event will commence with a drinks reception in the Egyptian Sculpture Gallery, giving members an opportunity to network with their peers amongst symbolic objects, deities and architectural pieces from ancient temples and tombs. An imposing stone bust of the great pharaoh, Ramesses II presides over the room, while the world-famous Rosetta Stone, with its inscribed scripts, will ensure an evening like no other.
The Awards dinner will be hosted under the glass roof in the Great Court at the heart of the Museum. To conclude the evening, a post-ceremony celebration will follow in the Egyptian Sculpture Gallery.
The 2018 CEDIA Awards is open for entries (read just why you should enter here). Categories this year include: Integrated Home; Media Room; Home Cinema; Innovative Solution or System; Showroom; Auto, Marine, or Aircraft; and Multiple Dwelling Unit Design. The deadline for submissions is 16 April, 2018.
