Bluesound adds new soundbar to wireless home theatre range

Bluesound has introduced the PULSE SOUNDBAR+, a new addition to the brand’s high-performance home cinema ecosystem.

With a choice of a black or white finish, the new soundbar is configurable to a range of home entertainment applications. To make installation simple, it comes with a wall mount bracket as well as two kickstand feet.

Designed to replace the need for bulky AVRs, the PULSE SOUNDBAR+ fits neatly under the TV and delivers a fully immersive sonic experience via its range of features, including support for Dolby Atmos, 24-bit high-resolution audio, 120W of full frequency multiroom and multichannel audio, eight audiophile-grade drivers, and a wide array of connectivity options.

The soundbar features a full audio-chain redesign with advanced DSP processing which now supports 3D audio from Dolby Atmos, to give the viewer a wider, higher, and more enveloping soundstage.

For even bigger bass impact, the PULSE SOUNDBAR+ can be paired with the PULSE SUB+, and for a complete wireless Dolby Surround Sound experience, a pair of PULSE FLEX 2i speakers can also be added as rear channels.

Suitable for a range of home entertainment sources, the soundbar has multiple wired and wireless, digital and analogue connectivity options. TVs, gaming consoles, music streaming services, laptops, and music libraries can be accessed through HDMI eARC, Apple AirPlay 2, two-way aptX HD Bluetooth, TOSLINK, RCA, USB, and its proprietary BluOS music streaming system.

Improving on previous generations of Bluesound architecture, a powerful custom-specified ARM Cortex A53 Quad-Core chipset is included to process audio eight times faster. Particularly ideal for gaming and fast action scenes in movies, the flagship board also features two Wi-Fi chips to prevent network latency, offering a rock sold and zero-lag audio performance.

Offering a wide array of control options to the user, the PULSE SOUNDBAR+ now features simple touch controls on the front panel to give the user quick access to play, pause and volume. They also have the option of using a smartphone or tablet to connect to the built-in BluOS wireless multiroom streaming technology that can connect and sync audio to, from and around any room in the home.

Voice assistants from Amazon, Google and Apple allow for hands-free control, while professional smart home integrators can get access to drivers for popular control systems like Lutron, Crestron, RTI, ELAN, and more.

Due to start shipping in April, the PULSE SOUNDBAR+ is available to pre-order now. The black finish is priced at £799 / €999 / $899 and the white finish is priced at £899 / €1099 / $999.
