CYP Introduces HDCP and Colour Bandwidth Converter

CYP Europe has introduced the XA-HDCP converter, which converts HDCP2.2 to a lower HDCP format, enabling AV content to be integrated into a system that uses non-HDCP2.2 compliant devices.

CYP Europe has introduced the product in light of the new HDCP2.2 copy protection, which is not backwards compatible with previous versions. TheXA-HDCPeliminates the need for integrators to upgrade all devices in the signal path to be HDCP2.2 compliant.

In stock and shipping now, the XA-HDCP can analyse and convert the content bandwidth, HDCP version, EDID and Colorspace status of the inputted signal as well as having the ability to create and upload alternative EDID settings via a PC application. With an additional equalisation and repeater function, which enables the HDMI cable distance to be extended 5m from the output at full 4K (6G) resolution.
