DALI unveils VEGA single-box wireless speaker for multiroom audio

DALI has launched a single-box wireless sound system aimed at design-conscious listeners and multiroom audio setups.

The company says the new VEGA, developed over five years, responds to market research indicating demand for single-box systems suited to various living spaces.

It delivers 400-watt amplification across eight 50-watt channels, underpinned by DALI’s patent-pending Adaptive Stereo Enhancement (ASE) designed to create a wide soundstage.

Krestian Pedersen, head of product management at DALI, said: “As listening habits evolve, more people are enjoying music than ever before thanks to unlimited access to high-quality audio.

“Music is becoming an integral part of people’s lives, and the key to it all is convenience.

“It has to be easy, but without compromising on quality.

“We wanted to make a product that people want to keep turned on all the time."

Whether freestanding or wall-mounted, the speaker adjusts its output through Adaptive Orientation Adjustment (AOA) which optimises stereo mapping and spatial accuracy in real time.

Configurable placement settings also allow users to tailor sound around proximity to walls and corners.

With access to the BluOS streaming and multiroom audio system, users can stream high-res wireless playback across the home in sync with other enabled devices.

Additionally, the unit supports inputs like HDMI, analogue and optical digital connections alongside USB audio and Bluetooth for compatibility with sources from TVs to turntables.

VEGA is set to be revealed at an exclusive media showcase on June 4-5 in Vienna, with a launch in select markets scheduled for September.

Additional markets are said to follow in October and November.
