Habitech has announced a partnership with Samsung that will see it distributing the company’s TV lines including The Wall, The Frame range of TVs, and The Terrace outdoor displays.
The distributor has recently completed a facility in Basingstoke in the UK where integrators and their customers can experience Samsung’s display technology in smart residential settings.
The Wall is the flagship model being distributed by Habitech. Constructed from MicroLED modules measuring at just over 36-in with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, The Wall can be built to a customised size to suit the customer. A four-by-four module build will create a 146-in display at 4K, while an eight-by-eight module build will create a 292-in display at 8K.
Three tiny self-emissive RGB LEDs make up each MicroLED pixel, enabling them to be independently controlled or turned off entirely to recreate deep blacks and precise colours and brightness.
Samsung’s The Frame QLED HDR smart TV caters for two uses: a high-performance Quantum Dot 4K UHD display when turned on and a place to display photos and art pieces when switched off.
Designed to complement any interior décor, The Frame comes with a choice of super-thin magnetic bezels in myriad colours to frame the display. Users can subscribe to Samsung’s Art Store where they will gain unlimited access to a huge range of art and photography to complement their home. Personal images can also be uploaded and displayed on The Frame using the SmartThings app or a USB flash drive.
Users can also mirror content to the TV from their smartphone or tablet, as well as pair with Apple devices via AirPlay 2. It is also compatible with IoT sensors and voice control from Alexa, Google Assistant and Bixby.
Habitech is stocking The Frame in 32-in, 43-in, 50-in, 55-in, 65-in and 75-in sizes.
One of Samsung’s latest display innovations from last year is The Terrace, a 4K QLED smart TV for the outdoors. With an IP55-rating and a 6cm deep black steel frame, The Terrace is ideal for installation in partially shaded outdoor areas with its anti-glare screen and brightness of 2000 nits.
Features such as Quantum 4K processing, AI upscaling, adaptive picture tech and HDR+ contrast help the display to provide an incredible outdoor entertainment experience.
The display includes Disney+, Apple TV, NOW TV, and BT Sports apps, tap-to-view mirroring, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and voice assistant support.
Habitech is stocking the 55-in, 65-in and 75-in models of The Terrace.
