DoorBird has announced native integration of its D11x series IP video door intercoms with Crestron Home.
Developed in collaboration with Crestron, the integration enables DoorBird D11x intercoms to connect directly to Crestron Home touchscreens using its RAVA protocol.
No additional hardware is required, allowing integrators to deliver video door communication, access control and event notifications in a single user interface.
Support for DoorBird’s D18x series is scheduled to follow.
Georgio Galaris, manager of residential marketing at Crestron, said: “By combining Crestron Home’s intuitive control with DoorBird’s advanced IP video door stations, we’re empowering homeowners with smarter, more secure, and more connected living environments.”
Users can receive doorbell calls via group calling from the Crestron Home interface, as well as view live video and manage native/external relays for doors and gates.
The integration also supports real-time triggers including doorbell presses, motion detection and access events.
Additional RFID and fingerprint notifications are available on the D18x models.
Setup is streamlined through DoorBird’s Express Configuration, requiring integrators to enable Crestron mode in the DoorBird Connect settings.
The integration aims to both simplify project workflows and enhance end-user experience in residential installations where security is a focus.
By removing the need for third-party gateways or drivers, it’s thought to reduce commissioning time and improve long-term system reliability.
