KGEAR introduces IP-rated loudspeakers for marine and outdoor applications

KGEAR, part of the K-array group, has launched marine-grade versions of its compact point-source satellite loudspeakers.

The new GH4 Marine and GH8 Marine models are designed to extend the performance of the existing GH line into environments where durability and weather resistance are critical.

The GH4 Marine houses a 4-in full-range driver with a dual-coil neodymium magnet inside a corrosion-resistant stainless-steel enclosure. With a 16Ω impedance, the loudspeaker is adaptable across a range of system configurations, and its controlled audio dispersion is aimed at tackling reflective outdoor or marine environments.

The larger GH8 Marine incorporates an 8-inch full-range dual-cone driver and delivers up to 129dB SPL per unit. Its cardioid dispersion pattern reduces energy loss and rear emissions, while IP65 protection ensures resistance to water, dust, and salt. Both models are designed to deliver consistent performance in exposed environments, including on board vessels.

Marine-grade accessories, such as the K-WALL2LMINI Marine and a ground stake, support different rigging and installation requirements.

Lorenzo De Poi, brand manager at K-array, said the new models address growing demand for systems that combine performance with design: “With GH4 Marine and now GH8 Marine, we’ve taken our proven audio technology and engineered it to excel in demanding environments such as the marine and outdoor residential market, where durability and design go hand in hand.”

The original GH series has already been installed in restaurants, hospitality venues, and cultural attractions worldwide. The new Marine versions are now available to order.
