Savant introduced a 4K UHD video over IP switching platform at ISE 2017.
The manufacturer’s latest offering provides installers with 4K/60 4:4:4 HDR video distribution, audio down-mixing and breakout options along with integrated control.
The platform reportedly delivers video with zero frame latency. A centralised 10GbE switch enables Ethernet connectivity throughout an installation, with fibre and copper options.
Audio down-mixing capabilities and audio breakout options have additionally been designed to accompany Savant’s newly released Pro Audio 4 IP-based switch with audio support for 2 – 128 zones and access to popular streaming services via Savant Music.
The platform’s video processing additionally offers support for multi-video/video tiling and multi-switching applications.
The switch’s design incorporates a transmit chassis for centralised sources and distributed receivers.

Savant’s 4K Ultra HD video over IP switching platform will be released in Q3 of 2017.
