American consumer electronics brand, RCA has entered the UK market with a line of smart TVs powered by the Roku operating system.
Assembled in South Wales, UK, the RCA Roku TV models consist of an HD 32” (RR32HD1) priced at £129.99, a FHD 40” (RR40FD1) priced at £169.99, and a 4K YHD 55” (RR55UD1) for £269.99.
Leveraging the Roku operating system, the RCA Roku TV models give consumers a premium smart TV streaming experience. In the UK, Roku users have access to thousands of free and paid channels, including global streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and all the locally relevant choices such as Freeview Play, BBC iPlayer, ITVX, All 4 and My5. Roku users also have access to The Roku Channel, with free family entertainment.
Roku TV models offer consumers automatic updates, a customisable home screen, and a powerful universal search function that shows results ordered by price. It is also compatible with Airplay 2 and voice assistants, including Apple Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant. This month has seen the rollout of new Roku OS features, such as a save list on the home screen menu, visual search results, updated entertainment details, new visual when searching with Roku Voice, and Bluetooth private listening, further enhancing the viewing experience on Roku TVs.
