ViewSonic partners with Microsoft for Xbox big screen gaming

ViewSonic has launched two 4K LED projectors designed specifically for Xbox gamers in partnership with Microsoft to create a big screen gaming experience.

With an input lag of 4.2 milliseconds and a refresh rate of 240 Hz, the new X series projectors deliver smooth gameplay on a big screen.

Making up the X series, the X1-4K is a standard throw projector designed for ceiling-mounted installs and X2-4K is a short-throw projector. The X1-4K is designed to produce a 150” image from 4.98m away, while the short-throw X2-4K only needs a gap of 2.2m for a 120” image.

Both 4K UHD projectors offer HDR/HLG support and come with ViewSonic’s Cinema SuperColour+ technology which supports 125% of the Rec.709 colour space. They also both feature a third-generation light source with 2,900 lumens of brightness and lasting up to 30,000 hours.

Set up is quick and simple thanks to the horizontal and vertical keystone correction, as well as four-corner adjustment. The Xbox or other entertainment sources can be connected via two HDMI 2.0 ports, with other connectivity options including USB-C, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Each projector also has its own Harman Kardon sound system built-in.

The new X series LED projectors will be available from Q2 2023 and come with a backlit Bluetooth remote control.
